If Little League Baseball and Travel Baseball got together and had a little baseball program baby... the result would be what we are seeking to bring to the Quad Cities with the Quad City Mavericks Baseball Program.

/ˈmav(ə)rik/:  An unorthodox or independent-minded person.

We believe there is still something special about the 'old school' youth baseball philosophy.  A philosophy that doesn't necessarily hang its hat on wins and losses, individual statistics, or other fancy accolades.... but rather creating a positive culture within the team, generating excitement about the game of baseball, preparing every player for their future endeavors, and out coaching other teams without over-coaching our team.  We believe that the things we choose to do in life and in baseball should be done in the right way... and how we carry ourselves in our homes, schools, and in our community will reflect how we carry ourselves on the baseball field.  At this level of baseball -above anything else- we encourage all of our players and coaches to have fun and compete in a manner that respects the game of baseball.  

While we know there are reputable programs within our QC area that are already serving our local travel baseball athletes, our Mavericks coaches feel that the current structure of 'All-in' travel ball is not something that best meets the current needs of many of the players and families in our QC area.  The focus of the Maverick baseball program is 'hybrid' compared to many other area travel baseball teams- having a commitment to game limitation’s and financial responsibilities.

....that is what we are after with the Mavericks Baseball program!
